Young Boys Bern will not be satisfied with their last season, as they finished 12 points behind champions FC Basel. They want to do better this year and have a serious say in the championship battle. Alongside FC Basel, FC Servette were also ahead of the hosts in the table last season. The visitors will be more than satisfied with this result. The Young Boys want to attack at the top again
The team won the Super League title 2 years in a row. Last season, however, they struggled considerably and ultimately only finished third in the table. Naturally, they would like to attack again this year and recapture the championship title. To do so, they must not suffer so many defeats again. In addition to 17 wins, they have lost 11 games and 10 more ended in a draw. The club decided to change coach back in December 2024. Giorgio Contini took over and led the team to third place, winning 12 of 24 games and stabilizing defensively with 25 goals conceded in 24 games. Is Servette now ready for the title?
In the past three years, the club has finished second, third and second. Last season, they finished runners-up behind Basel and ahead of their opponents Young Boys. Once again, the team will be satisfied with this result, but they now want to go for the title. This should be possible once again with successful coach Thomas Häberli. Although he achieved 2nd place in the league, the team had already failed in the qualifying round of the Conference League and was also surprisingly beaten 2:1 by FC Schaffhausen in the 2nd round of the Swiss Cup.
